Varun Varghese
Varun Varghese is an assistant professor at the Transdisciplinary Science and Engineering Program, Graduate School of Advanced Science and Engineering, Hiroshima University, Japan. His research interests include the analysis of the interrelationships between ICT and travel, the impacts of travel behavior on the environment, travel behavior during disasters, and travel demand management strategies for sustainable transportation.
Varun Varghese is an assistant professor at the Transdisciplinary Science and Engineering Program, Graduate School of Advanced Science and Engineering, Hiroshima University, Japan. Lichen Luo, Ph.D. is a post-doc researcher at the Transdisciplinary Science and Engineering Program, Graduate School of Advanced Science and Engineering, Hiroshima University. His research interests cover transport planning in the context of automated/autonomous vehicles, sustainable policy making, and travel behavior in general. He received his bachelor's degree from Dalian University of Technology, China, master and doctoral degree from the University of Tokyo, Japan.

He holds a double degree in Indonesia (from ITB) with a Master's in Regional and Urban Planning, as well as in Japan (from Hiroshima) with a Master's in Engineering specializing in Transportation. He currently. works as an assistant attaché for transportation affairs at the Indonesian Embassy in Tokyo for a period of 3 years before returning to serve in the Planning Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation.
